The start and finish sites are very different so here are a few pointers to help you find them and give an idea as to what you may expect at each location. Also check out our FAQ page which contains more information.
The start is in the village of Wasperton which is on the A429 about 2 miles south of M40 J15 (Longbridge). The road through Wasperton is quite narrow but lorries can negotiate it with care and the speed limit is 20 MPH, so please observe it.
The start field post code is CV35 8EB which will get you very close but we have several Lions who will direct you to the raft transport vehicles entrance to the field. Supporters cars are routed further into Wasperton and through a separate entrance into a large car parking area on the start field. Parking is free, but subject to an optional donation, and the field is open till 6pm on race day.
The post code for the finish is CV37 7LS and covers a large area being Stratford’s Recreation Ground off Swan’s Nest Lane. To assist you find the finish we erect several large signs directing you towards the parking areas, and the raft transport vehicles parking entrance gates are manned by Lions. Parking is chargeable and rigorously enforced by Stratford District Council so please do not take any chances. The finish line is almost opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre so please join us there where our charity will have plenty going on for adults and kids alike. The teams disembark about 100 metres to the West of the finish and they then remove their rafts from the river. As team supporters you are welcome to set up gazebos or barbeques to cater for the rafters but please ensure that you clear up after yourselves when you have finished.
